Frequently Asked Questions
Will you charge me a fee?
It is our job to save you time and money by finding employment that fits your experience and interests. You will never be charged a fee for our services.
As a temporary associate, am I required to accept every assignment?
No. One of the benefits of being a temporary associate is the flexibility to choose which assignments to accept.
How long are the assignments?
Temporary assignments vary according to client need. The length of an assignment may last anywhere from hours to days, weeks, months or longer. Your Staffing Manager will give you an approximate duration prior to you accepting or declining the assignment.
How do I get paid?
Our workweek is the 7-day period beginning each Monday at 12:01 am and ending Sunday at midnight. Single timesheets or group timesheets can be turned in weekly, on Friday or Monday. Associates are paid on a weekly basis, typically the first Friday following the end of the preceding workweek.
What are my paycheck options?
SOS Associates have the advantage of choosing from three payroll options:
-
Traditional Paycheck: These may be picked up at the branch or you may request to have your paycheck mailed to you.
-
Direct Deposit: A quicker way to receive your wages. After an initial processing period, your money will be deposited directly into your checking or savings account.
-
MasterCard-branded Payroll Debit Card: The fastest way to get paid! Instead of receiving a check, weekly wages are automatically loaded onto your personal MasterCard-branded Debit Card. Your debit card may be used anywhere debit cards are accepted to make purchases and/or withdraw cash, including retail stores, grocery stores, banks and ATM's.
What is SOS Web Trax?
Whereas most assignments will require a hard copy timesheet for keeping track of hours, many of our clients utilize our SOS Web Trax™ timekeeping system. This is an Internet browser-based system where associates are given a user name and password to log in and out using a punch portal.
For our associates who are currently on assignment with a client using SOS Web Trax, you may log in or log out here:
Do you offer Health Benefits?
Yes. SOS associates may choose to participate in our basic medical coverage plan through the American Workers Plan (AWP). Three affordable and convenient plans are available - all of which include an Rx program - along with options to purchase dental and/or vision benefits. These flexible plans are also available to associates' spouses and children.
We also offer 401k, holiday and vacation pay, referral bonuses and much more!
